Amazon Wireless: Newest Place to Get a Free BlackBerry

amazonwireless-screenAmazon has buit plenty of trust over the years making them one of the most popular spots to get books, Blu-ray movies, gadgets and other small items. In way it’s surprising it took the e-retailer this long to start offering smartphones bundled with plans.

At the time of this writing Amazon Wireless is offering 101 phones with a service contract from your choice of AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Wireless. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 tops the list of bestselling phones. With a plan from AT&T it is going for one cent (not sure why they didn’t just make it free). Every phone has quick two-day shipping.

Now that all the big box stores are in the business of pushing Blackberrys and plans too, at first I wondered if Amazon really needs to be in this space. What can they possibly bring to the table that everyone else hasn’t already done first?

Amazon Wireless wins you over by how easy they make it to shop. The filter options at the left side of the site allow you to select everything from carrier, feature, price (penny phones included), colour and brand. Each offering has a growing amount of user reviews that Amazon is famous for so you can get past the marketing hype offered by the manufacturer and get straight to the perspective of people like yourself.

If you haven’t already, stop by Amazon Wireless to view the Blackberry phones they are offering for a penny.
