It is a new range of blackberry phones called the blackberry tour. In India it is being launched by the reliance mobile and RIM shortly. The entire range has been designed for tech-savvy customers. Its black color and the highlighted chrome finish are sufficient to please the customers. It is 112mm in length, 62mm in width and 14.2mm in depth. It weighs about 130g.the screen has a resolution display of 480X360 and measures about 2.44 inches. It is a non touch screen phone that is graced with a QWERTY keyboard. The phone comes with an inbuilt camera of 3.2 megapixels that has a video recorder, flash, extensive zooming and auto focusing properties. It also supports audio and video streaming through the HTML web browser. It has a built in GPS.The media player incorporated in this phone is much advanced so as to support videos and pictures. It has a 3.5 mm headset jack. The phone memory can be expanded up to 32GB.the Tour is a bit heavier but less expensive than the other advanced models of blackberry. The phone has a toggle button for controlling volume on the left side, on right side of it the headset jack is situated along with camera launching and locking key. The micro USB charging port is also situated on the right side. The tour has a better keyboard than the other smart phones as typing on tour is much faster. This is because the keys are somewhat separated.Multi tasking on tour is very easy, that is, you can listen to music while checking e-mails or messages. It is a bar phone without any slider or a flap. The maximum retailing price of the phone is around $199.00.it has a built in Bluetooth capability navigator with automotive unit navigator it is the most reliable cell phone created for the professional users.

Pros and cons

The design itself is so attractive and sturdy that it actually adds a lot of glamour to the phone. The typing on the keyboard is very comfortable and you don’t have to stress upon the keys much. The 65k color led display is very sharp and vibrant. The camera is efficient and has good picture quality. The only demerits of the phone are that it does not support the Wi-Fi connection and also its video recorder is not that effective. High end messaging and a wide range of multi-media features make it technologically unique.

Reviews and comments

Some people find the phone well worthy of investment because it offers them a comfortable keyboard, connectivity, quick processing and sharp screen display. The camera performance is good but the video recording is extremely bad as it can not shoot the fast moving scenes properly. The phone comes with an inbuilt memory of 256 MB along with a 4GBmemory card but the only problem with the phone is that the program that it supports can only be downloaded on the onboard memory card.
